Just a sample of the wonders to come!
Two Uruguayan couchsurfers, Pablo and Michaela, arrived last week. I took them to the Zocalo in the heart of the Centro Historico, in the exact same way, Lison, a French couchsurfer, had taken Katie and I on our first day in Mexico City.
I took a slightly different route once we got off the bus, walking down a road that ran parallel to the one we usually take. We passed a bakery and Michaela wanted to look at the pastries, however, much to our delight we ended up walking into a veritable confectionary wonderland. I have never seen such cakes, some towering higher than six feet tall and over 110 kgs!
I felt myself putting on 20 lbs just looking!
Ever since arriving in Mexico City a month ago I have found new reason ever day to love the city, this amazing bakery is definitely one to add to the list!
